• given a date and a movable event in the Church Calendar, find the year(s) in a range , when they match some condition, e.g. "When is the next time when Mid-Pentecost falls on May 11th?"   or "In what years of this century the Apostle's Lent would be eliminated altogether if rendered by the Gregorian calendar?"  
   
• various calendar calculations: convert dates between Julian and Gregorian calendars, match dates with days of the week, add any number of days to a date, subtract any number of days from a date, subtract dates one from another. All calculations apply to both A.D. and B.C. periods.
